Diving into letters from World War 2 and the lives of people from decades ago was probably one of the most interesting things that I’ve done in school. I loved getting to know all of these different individuals and their stories. However, I had a difficult time with writing my first paper for this class. It was hard to form a thesis without a strict prompt. It was also a struggle to make a presentation that hardly included words and that didn’t have an outline. I am used to things being laid out and clear in an assignment like this one, so even though I struggled at first, it was nice to be able to form my own opinion about a topic and convey that in both a paper and presentation. It helped me to use my mind more, if that makes sense, and I think that this is good practice for future assignments.
It was also very interesting to see the presentations of my classmates. I liked seeing how they used their different perspectives to introduce new ideas and thoughts to the class.
